Campfire Corn

It’s as amazing as it sounds. Nothing screams summer to me more than roasted corn on the grill. It’s my absolute favorite, and I figured it was perfect to take camping with us! Walmart didn’t have any corn still in the husk, so we grabbed frozen baby frozen corn cobs and they worked fine.

Go ahead and get yo’ stuff.

  • 6-8 cobs of the corn- thawed and dried the best that you can
  • 3/4 stick of salted butter, cut into slices
  • salt
  • pepper
  • molasses bacon seasoning (sweet and salty and perfect)
  • Foil! Mine were probably about 10″x12″- that way you can double wrap the corn so that the butter doesn’t drip out while cooking

And that’s it! I used two small pieces of butter per cob- one on the bottom, directly on the foil, and the other on top of the corn. My method was to put the seasonings (just a pinch of each) on each piece of butter to make sure that none of the corn goes without seasoning.

If the butter was a bit too thick, I only used one piece. No need for a heart attack out on the lake! With these, you can also refrigerate until you’re ready to use them. We have these handy grill baskets that are made for corn, so we just put them in there and let them cook for about 30 minutes. It gave enough time for the corn to cook and sweeten up. So perfect.

This is another one that I’ll be making next weekend. Too good to not take!

Enjoy 🙂
